A Perpetual Dreamer

Ever since Mr M got me that Toino Abel basket I had been asking for (ha!), it’s all I wanted to carry especially on the weekends.

Bag: I think subconsciously I wanted to channel Haley Boyd, who has the best girly style ever. Her perpetual weekend looks (complete with either Cult Gaia or a vintage basket) made me want to join her fashion club. I’m no where close to being girly but carrying a basket is such a complementary fit to spring + summer. I think I’ve found my staple for the next few months as temperature soars to an uncomfortable level. The only thing that I should stop doing is to continuously graze my skin against the reed material when I dip my hand into the bag.

Dress: This yellow midi dress that I’m wearing is from the Uniqlo x Lemaire collection from earlier this year. When I purchased it, my intention was to use it for both fancy and casual days and I’m glad to report that I’ve done just that. With the things of fashion, I’m that practical dresser who gets most satisfaction when I’m able to maximise the capacity of my purchases. Not going to lie that I do get that ‘I have nothing to wear’ syndrome, a lot but as long as I’m able to deal with those short-term negative emotions in favour of the bigger picture, I would actually be a lot happier not to mention lighter.
