I could honestly say that I’ve been interested in fashion ever since I was given the go ahead to pick my own outfits. I think I was 5.
Over the years, I developed an interest in mixing and matching and would pour over fashion magazines for ideas and inspirations. It’s definitely a bit of a thrill when I was able to come up with pairings that I was pleased with. They’re such confidence boosters *insert smirk face with sunnies emoticon*.
Lately though, I’ve been increasingly attracted to the idea of wearing a soft white tee, a really good pair of jeans and some well made shoes of any material. Literally going back to the basics, just like what Maria Nguyen is trying to present in her thesis collection. I’m not shunning fancy styles and stitches but sometimes, simplicity and quality are what I crave for in this increasingly complicated world. You know, the downright basic combo but done in the right way.
Do you have any good basics that you would turn to over and over again?
