Wearing my flouncy vintage dress for a picnic a couple of weeks ago. It’s lightweight and fun hence making it a nice choice for the relaxing outdoor activity. If you’ve been a long time reader, you might recognise it from this shoot I did with Darius 2 years ago. The underlying colour palette (without due consideration) is very similar and most of the items are still being rotated in my current wardrobe, except for the pleather bag from ASOS which has since retired and gone to a better household.
Ever since picking up sewing, I’m a lot more interested in the potential of vintage clothes and the endless experiments that I could do with them. I’m making really basic things at the moment but once I pick up the courage to make something more substantial, I’ll showcase them here! Sewing is so fresh exciting for me but I’ll try and pace myself as I’ve got my fingers in quite a number of pies. I want to learn to enjoy the process rather than trying to churn out projects upon projects with nowhere to store. I want to make my hardwork and handiwork count.
Hope you have a wonderful mid-week and if you have any suggestions to wonderful sewing blogs and patterns, do leave them in the comments section below. I’m all ears.

Could still remember 3 years back when I mastered sewing and started revamping vintage pieces and wore them to college proudly haha! Still, as at today I alter my own clothing items let it be a blouse, dress or hem pants or even add length to a shorter skirt. Which is also why my clothes always fit me so well 🙂
