Last Weekend Edit: OOTD

Hey everyone! Happy Tuesday! I’m so excited to share with you a new segment called  ‘Last Weekend Edit’ whereby I would show you either my OOTD (outfit of that day) or some other interesting stuff that I encountered over the past weekend. The photos below were taken at Middle Head which was once a part of Sydney’s defense from the 1800s to the 60s. Because it’s a national park, there were loads of people hovering around that area so I had to put on my blinkers during the shoot! Mr M and I worked really hard to produce these images so hope all of you enjoy!

I was in the mood for playing with patterns so I paired stripes with houndstooth print to create this look. I think pairing 2 different patterns together is such a fun way to spice up your look! The rule of thumb though is to have at least a common colour or pattern to tie the look together.

The top was from Whistles via ASOS Australia. When I received it a few months ago, I thought it was a tad too roomy for my liking. I was trying to come up with something comfy to wear on Sunday and for some reason this top and the full skirt caught my eyes. I put them on and liked what I saw. The look was precisely what I needed after a week of form fitting shift dresses.

I was wearing one of my favourite sandals this summer which I recovered from underneath a pile of shoes. Also shown here. It’s an oldie but definitely a goodie!

The textured leather does make the bag looks so much more interesting. It’s my go-to bag whenever I’m in my casual clothing, which is most of the time outside work really.
