Not the Hamburgers

Ever since I’ve gone past that relatively awkward “maybe she had one too many hamburger” phase, I’ve become a bit more confident with my new body shape.

Having a bump is still very much a surreal experience and ever since I’ve gone past that relatively awkward “maybe she had one too many hamburger” phase, I’ve become a bit more confident with my new body shape. Although my energy levels are slowly weaning as the third and final trimester approaches, I do feel more inspired to dress up and experiment with fashion. I’m determined to make the most out of my growing belly and just really embrace all the physical changes that I’m going through right now.

Seeing that an exotic babymoon is impossible now, Mr M and I have been trying to maximise our Sundays together doing simple things that we enjoy such as eating yummy food, going for walks, visiting beautiful shops and just being in each other’s presence. While we are very excited about meeting mini M and all the new experiences that come with parenthood, we are still adjusting to the thought of losing a chunk of our freedom and selfish time as individuals. This is a conflict that we need to resolve but I believe that in time, we would definitely be able to find a rhythm that we’re comfortable with and just really throwing ourselves into this new responsibility of growing our little man into all that he’s created to be.

We’ve also begun to explore a range of baby gadget options and nursery designs and I’ve pinned some inspirations over here and here. There’s definitely a fantasy of making mini M’s nursery as Pinterest-worthy as possible. Having said that I also have quite a practical mind so it will be very interesting for us to see the final result. I’m looking forward to share a few photos with you so stay tuned.

Ah, I’ll also be sharing a little official bump update in my next post so hope to see you then!
