Thankful

I can’t foresee where I would be in the future but right now, these pursuits of mine seem right and necessary.

2 years on and we returned to the green belt at Mr M’s parents for an outfit shoot.

The circumstances were different this time. I became Mrs M and I wasn’t as inexperienced or shy in front of the camera. I became bold-er.

2 years ago having bad angles were completely embarrassing. Nowadays bad photos are weekly occurrences. I’ve learnt to shake off those ugly sides nonchalantly and accepted my imperfections graciously (after much practise). Having Mr M as my photographer certainly helps as he also provides some nice encouragements (and winks) and constructive criticisms along the way. He’s also forced to be patient with me.

As I was piecing together ideas for this post, I felt a strong sense of thankfulness. I’m so thankful that I was placed at the right place at the right time that enabled the birth of WLLWPROJECT and subsequently WLLWPOPUP. Although things had proven to be a lot more challenging than originally thought (I can be overly positive sometimes), I’m just so grateful that I’m able to grow in something that I really love and enjoy. In all honesty, fashion isn’t and will never be everything for me (i.e. it will never be something that defines my existence) but working on these side projects have provided me with the zest and fuel to experiment with the unknown and live life a little dangerously. I don’t deal well with repetitions hence I needed the little bursts of adrenaline and experimentations from my fashion endeavours to keep me going. I can’t foresee where I would be in the future but right now, these pursuits of mine seem right and necessary.

If you’re a long time reader of mine (hello mom and dad!) I just want to say thank you for sticking with me throughout WLLWPROJECT’s growth. WLLWPROJECT isn’t the brightest and fanciest blog out there but it’s a very personal and sincere one. I’ve said this before and I will say this again: I don’t seek to inspire people. What I seek is for you to be able to relate to the blog and hopefully take something good away from it and apply to your life. This is the least that I could offer in a rather narcissistic and superficial field.

What is the one thing that you pursued out of your comfort zone and never looked back ever since? Do share!
