I had the opportunity to hang out with the girls for a nice lunch date at China Doll last Sunday so I pulled out my under-utilised Rachel Comey dress (previously styled this way) for a well-deserved spin. I’ve actually forgotten how versatile it is. I haven’t been reaching out for it as much as I thought I would and I think that’s because black wasn’t on top of my priority list this scorching summer. I really enjoyed wearing it in this casual manner and since the weather has cooled down ever so slightly, I might just re-incorporate more black pieces into my routine.
Style Notes ||Layering|| No the season of layering hasn’t really started yet but I decided to take my beloved and very well-missed denim jacket with me due to the possibility of sudden weather change, which didn’t really happen that day.
||Jewellery|| Earrings I’ve been a little obsessed with these chain earrings lately because they are so versatile. I wear them at every opportunity I have and have gotten plenty of compliments with them. Moreover they are ultra lightweight and you wouldn’t even know that they’re there!
Choker That little maroon choker was purchased a while back when chokers were all the rage. I wanted to recreate the good ol’ 90s vibe so I decided to wear it. I thought the earring + choker combo would be a little too much but they actually worked pretty well together.
||Footwear|| I opted for white sneakers because I couldn’t be bothered walking in heels! I prefer to be casual on Sundays in all honesty and felt more like myself without too much fuss!
Side Notes I’ve been itching to knit again so I picked my Sibella pullover back up to finish off the yoke. I can’t wait to complete it and move on to my next project. At this stage it would likely be Junko Okamoto’s Andy cardigan. I’m already dreaming of those cosy winter days with lots of handknits!
What are you dreaming of these days?
