Wee Envelope

As long as he doesn’t know how to complain yet, my knitting game should be going strong!
Jumpers + Beanie Handknit by me

Stemming from the last post, I thought it would be fun to share some photos of mini M wearing the wee envelope, my favourite baby knit design thus far (hence the 2 different versions).

The pattern was very well-written, but there was the inevitably confusing part which had resulted in ripping back. Thanks to the power of the internet (nothing that a little bit of research wouldn’t solve), the designer had very clearly clarified some of my questions here, which made the process a lot less frustrating than anticipated initially. I hadn’t followed the pattern to a t actually as I used a thicker yarn for the blue piece. However with a bit of tweaking, the sizing worked out and tbh, as long as the garment isn’t too small/big for the baby, I’m not that fussy about the fit. My major concern is whether mini M is going to be able to fully utilise all the handmade pieces as my knitting mojo is directly proportional to the uptake rate (which really is controlled by me (and the weather) ha). In other words, as long as he doesn’t know how to complain yet, my knitting game should be going strong!

If you’re not a knitter but is keen to explore this craft, be sure to check out this post. It might just be that push you need to kickstart your knitting career!
