I really think that it takes someone special to carry ultra voluminous ensembles with ease.
All the extra fabric adds a lot of weight even to the most petite frame. Although I’m quite a fan of loose fitting silhouettes, I couldn’t help but worry if I haven’t looked feminine enough sometimes… and I’m attributing this unnecessary worry to husband and social expectations.
Elizabeth Suzann makes some drool-worthy oversized pieces and if there’s only 1 tip that I could draw from the styling, it would be to elongate those pins. Heels are the best solution here and they instantly elevate the look by a hundred folds. By the end of the day, a fundamental part of fashion is very much about getting the proportions right.
Now if only I could muster up the courage to up the volume…
