Those elasticated jogger pants by Uniqlo are a total life-saver while I wait for my maternity jeans to arrive. I wasn’t planning of purchasing them initially but my mom insisted that I get them for my plane ride back to Sydney. Well what can I say, gotta listen to momma once in a while because I haven’t stopped wearing them ever since because they are so comfortable.
Although being preggers seems like a ‘hindrance’ when it comes to the things of fashion, I’m determined to not let my belly weigh me down. Instead of feeling meh about this unknown territory, I’m adamant to have as much fun as possible before my energy levels wean off in the last trimester. Fashion to me is all about experimentation and because I’m currently adapting to a body shape that I’m unfamiliar with, I’m forced to think outside the box and just roll with it. Volume is still my best friend and I’m not about to give it up anytime soon. What I would do differently though is to start incorporating a bit more prints and colours into my wardrobe as I’m unusually drawn to pops of colours at the moment, thanks to Eva Chen whom I have a serious girl crush on.
I truly feel that if I were to do something differently with my personal style, now’s the time to do it! Even if I don’t look as flattering in the process, I could just attribute that to all the changes that I’m currently going through lol.
Are you on a similar journey? Does being pregnant make you want to reevaluate your personal style too?
