A number of weeks ago, I set a goal to publish some favourite looks from the 4 major fashion weeks this year. While I was able to churn out posts for NYFW, LFW and MFW, I had totally put Paris Fashion Week on the back burner. Ironically, I actually have a very soft spot for French dressing. Though I believe that many attendees were not French, PFW remained to be my most pinned event out of the 4 Fashion Weeks.
Instead of plastering this post with the pairings that I like (please check out my Pinterest board for that if you’re interested), I’m actually going to approach this streetstyle post differently. I’m going to talk about 3D fashion i.e. fashion peppered with 3D elements. I don’t actually know the “right” term to use but that’s what I’m calling it for now.
Some people have proven to be ultra adventurous and fearless when it comes to personal expression. I find 3D fashion fascinating (and also cringe-worthy) and I could totally imagine myself to be all kinds of awkwardness in such attires. I don’t think that these 3D outfits are all that functional either (on second thought the layers may provide excellent insulation) but I do salute the impact that they make in just about any occasion. It’s a big feat to walk around in such attention grabbing designs and I think only flamboyant personalities such as Anna Dello Russo (and a few others) could pull such a task off with an insane amount of ease.
What do you think? Would you ever experiment with 3D fashion designs?
